What’s new in The Vibe Father

Launched at 1.0 and shipping steadily since — automatic updates, Quick Look, Vibe Remote and sharper benchmarks. Here’s everything, newest first.

Current version 1.0 Download for macOS
  1. v1.0.4 Latest

    Quick Look and Files polish

    • Quick Look previews in the Files sidebar — press Space on any file to peek at it without leaving the app.
    • Colorful, type-aware file tiles with full inline management and an image viewer built in.
    • Assorted stability fixes across the terminal grid and the live preview pane.
  2. v1.0.3

    Automatic updates

    • The Vibe Father now updates itself in the background over a signed appcast — new builds arrive the day they ship.
    • Update checks run at launch and hourly; you approve the install, nothing is ever forced on you.
    • Every release is EdDSA-signed and verified before it lands, so an update can never be tampered with.
  3. v1.0.2

    Vibe Remote

    • Kick off and steer agent runs from your phone — Vibe Remote mirrors the command deck to any browser on your network.
    • Dictate a task by voice and hear the result read back while you are away from the keyboard.
    • Live run status and one-tap checkpoints, so you can approve or rewind work from anywhere.
  4. v1.0.1

    Sharper benchmarks

    • Rebuilt the Vibe Coding Index on legally-clean public feeds — Epoch AI, Aider and LiveBench — for numbers you can actually cite.
    • Retired stale suites; the index now weights SWE-bench Verified, Terminal-Bench and LiveCodeBench.
    • Head-to-head model compares and a published methodology so every score is auditable.
  5. v1.0

    The Vibe Father 1.0

    • The first public release: one harness for every AI coding CLI — Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Kimi and around twenty more, side by side.
    • VibeSwarm multi-agent teams, the model-agnostic VibeBrain, on-device VibeVoice, the VibeConnect integrations hub and the VibeSafe verify gate.
    • Bring your own keys, one flat price, local-first — your code travels straight to your model providers and never touches our servers.
